What is Refer-a-Friend?

To thank you for filing your taxes with us, we’re giving you a unique code to share with your friends and family*. Each time they use our online tax software to NETFILE their returns, you’ll get $10 and they’ll each get 10% off our DELUXE, PREMIER, or SELF-EMPLOYED package (to a maximum of $200)!
Note: For you to receive the $10, the person you refer will need to apply your unique code at checkout when they buy the DELUXE, PREMIER, or SELF-EMPLOYED package.

Where do I find my code?
As soon as you pay for your package and NETFILE your return, you’ll see your Refer-a-Friend code on your dashboard or under the File tab after you completed your NETFILE and payment.:
- To find it under the File tab, Click File and select Continue.
- After you click Continue, you will arrive at a page with discount promotions. For your Refer-a-Friend code, click Send to friends to email your code or copy the personalized code that will appear next to Your refer-a-friend code is:

How do I use the Refer-a-Friend Code I received?
Save 10% off the price of a DELUXE, PREMIER, or SELF-EMPLOYED package when you use your Refer-a-Friend code. You can still do your taxes for free if you wish, but if you choose the FREE package, just make sure you enter your Refer-a-Friend code on the sales page so the friend who referred you will still get their credit.
Important: If you, have issues with:

- do not have online banking
- your friend’s refer-a-friend code
